Zoho unveils IoT platform for businesses

Zoho Corporation, a global technology company, has announced the launch of Zoho IoT, a scalable low-code platform aimed at enabling businesses to build and deploy custom IoT solutions.

According to a statement from the firm, the new platform enhances connectivity by seamlessly collecting and managing IoT device data in real-time, providing businesses with intelligent insights and streamlined operational analysis.

It stated that Zoho IoT was designed to empower organisations to automate processes and make data-driven decisions effortlessly, eliminating the need for extensive technical expertise.

It noted that the platform integrated fully with Zoho’s existing suite of applications, enhancing users’ visibility and control.
The firm added that its compatibility with third-party hardware allowed for rapid integration into current infrastructures, enabling businesses to scale as they grow.

Zoho emphasised that the platform was built with robust security measures to ensure data privacy and compliance with global standards.

A recent study by Kaspersky found that over 50 per cent of companies had integrated artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things into their systems.
It added that 33 per cent were looking to adopt those interconnected technologies in the next two years.

Experts advised that business owners should invest in robust cybersecurity solutions to protect their infrastructure.

Zoho IoT features advanced AI capabilities, allowing business users to develop powerful custom solutions more efficiently.

The firm said that by leveraging Zoho IoT’s AI capabilities, businesses could transform data into actionable insights, predict system outages, identify anomalies or forecast trends, optimise operations, and enhance customer experiences.

The Country Head of Zoho Nigeria, Kehinde Ogundare, said, “The IoT landscape has long been dominated by developer-centric platforms and industry-specific solutions.

“Zoho IoT addresses this by offering full customisation and interoperability, making it easier for businesses to adopt and benefit from IoT. The platform goes beyond basic data collection—ensuring every data point is converted into actionable insights that drive organisational connectivity.”
